The Pizza Delivery War
Run a local pizzeria in a city of 250,000 against three national delivery chains and the apps' ghost kitchens. Every chain has a coupon on Tuesday; you have better dough and a delivery radius to defend.
The city eats a lot of pizza, and three national chains deliver most of it: one with the biggest brand, one that lives on coupons, and one built for late nights near campus. The delivery apps fill in the rest with ghost kitchens that have no dining room and no loyalty. The decisions are the ones that decide a delivery business: whether to match a $7.99 coupon or charge for quality, how many drivers and cooks to carry on a Friday, whether to pay app commissions or build your own ordering, and which part of the city is worth delivering to at all. It teaches how a crowded market fights back. Rivals here are survivors: they cut prices when you grow, the price-sensitive customers swap on a coupon, and the share worth having is the loyal kind you earn one family at a time.
