Local Tradespeople Marketplace
Build a two-sided marketplace matching homeowners with plumbers, electricians and handymen. Homeowners pay booking fees, trades pay for leads, and the big directory already owns the search results.
Every homeowner needs a plumber eventually, and every plumber needs the next job. Your marketplace sits between them: homeowners pay a small booking fee for vetted, guaranteed work, and trade businesses pay a subscription for the jobs you send them. The decisions are marketplace decisions: which side to subsidise, what to charge trades before they feel you are a tax, how much to spend vetting and guaranteeing work, and which metro areas to launch in before spreading thin. Landlords and property managers pay more and book more, but expect service to match. It teaches how two-sided platforms make money: fees on both sides, trust as the product, and the cost of support when a job goes wrong.
