Esports Café
Open a gaming café with high-end PCs by the hour, weekend tournaments and a snack bar, in a town with no gaming venue of its own. Price an hour, decide how many PCs to buy, and fill the room on a Tuesday.
There is no gaming venue in town: the arcade is mostly skee-ball, the nearest LAN centre is forty minutes away, and the high school's esports team practises in a computer lab. You have a lease on an old shop front and a quote for thirty gaming PCs. The decisions: what to charge per hour and for a monthly pass, how many staff to have on the floor at midnight on a Friday, whether to run tournaments that fill the room but pay out prizes, how much to push birthday parties and snacks, and which crowd — high-schoolers, college students or league teams — to build around. It teaches utilisation in a capacity business: fixed seats, busy and empty hours, and side revenue that turns a quiet room into a profitable one.
