A business simulation your class runs, not just reads
Give your students a company to run. Teams of five take the chief executive, marketing, finance, technology and operations seats — or each student runs a company of their own — and every round they set prices, hire, market, borrow and grow against each other and established rivals.
A class in a few minutes
Create a class and share one join link. Students join with a free account, sit down at their tables, and you press Start when everyone is ready. Empty seats are filled by computer players at no cost.
One round a week, or ten minutes
Rounds can last ten minutes for a single session, a day, or a week — with decisions due at the time you choose, such as every Tuesday at 9:00 AM, so students decide between classes.
You run the room
The host console lets you pause, add time, end a round early, and drop in events — a demand boom, an interest-rate rise, a supplier failing — so the market matches that week's lesson. Message the whole class or one team.
Grade from the results
Watch any team's screen, see who has not submitted, and export every team's revenue, profit, cash, customers, market share and ranking, round by round, as a spreadsheet.
Any industry, including your own case
Use one of the ready-made markets, buy a simulation another educator built on the marketplace, or build one around a business you teach — a local café, the company in your case study.
Clear prices
Creating a class is free. A season of one of our markets is $1 a student, at any pace, and free for one person playing alone. A simulation you build yourself is $10, then $1 a student. A simulation you bought uses the seats you bought.
How do students join a class simulation?
You share the class's join link or code. Students make a free account, join the class, and sit down in the season with its link. You start the season when the tables are ready.
Can the simulation run over a whole semester?
Yes. Rounds can last a week, with decisions due at a time of day you choose, so a season runs alongside your course. You can also run short rounds in one class period.
Can I control what happens in the market?
Yes. From the host console you can pause the clock, add or take away time, end a round early, and set events such as a demand boom, a slump, a supplier failure or an interest-rate change, for everyone or for one team.
How do I grade it?
The host console shows every team's decisions and results, and exports every team's figures for every round — revenue, profit, cash, customers, market share, company value and rank — as a CSV file.
How much does it cost?
Creating a class is free and you only pay when you start a season, for the students actually playing: $1 a student for one of our markets (free for one person playing alone), or $1 a student for a simulation you built yourself (building it is $10). Computer players are free.
Does it work for students who speak other languages?
Yes. The whole site can be switched into more than thirty languages, including Spanish, Chinese, Hindi, Arabic and Swahili, and into Easy English.
